Vocabulary 1: School
Match each word to its meaning.
Grammar 1: Reported Speech
Use reported speech when relaying/ reporting what a person or people have already said. The general rule for reported statements is to one tense back in time from the tense being used in direct speech.
For example:
Direct Speech: I come from Mexico.
Reported Speech: She said she came from Mexico.
Change each direct statement into a reported statement.
Example: John: “I don’t feel well.” > John said that he didn’t feel well.
