A Message to Our Students
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Dear Students,
These are difficult times and we admire you all. You are handling this uncertain crisis with resolve and bravery. You have all taken to heart that pandemic does not mean panic.
I want you to know that we will be here for you if you have any questions and concerns. We will be checking in on you over the next few weeks to see how things are going.
As most of you know by now we have decided to close on Thursday not Friday as originally planned. This is because there have been further developments announced by the government and we feel we should move online as soon as we can.
For those of you who are taking our online program we know this isn’t perfect. We know that you came here not just to learn but to have experiences. That is why every VGC student who does our online classes will get an extra week of ESL studies in class. If you cannot use this at this time, you can come back and use it or transfer this credit to a friend. It will be valid until the end of 2021.
Speaking of the online classes, we are very excited about them. I know it is a strange time to “nerd-out” but looking them over, they are pretty cool.
It’s the same schedule as usual but you will be able to enjoy them while you are safe at home during this crazy time. And really, this is the best time to learn English or continue studying. I can’t think of a better use of this time as we wait for things to pass. Why not get smarter instead of watching Netflix all day?
Lastly I want to say that this is a moment in time. It will pass. Things will get better. But it is these hard moments that character is defined. I would like to remind everyone that there is an opportunity here to show your true character. Let’s make the most of it!
Sincerely,
Dominic Walton
