Teen Camp Program (13 to 17 Years Old)

Camps at VGC is one of Vancouver’s most exciting English camps, providing students from all over the world a unique Canadian learning adventure during summer and winter!

The Teen Camp Program is for students who want to build on English skills that are relevant to the daily life of a teenager, as well as prepare them academically to transition to a Canadian high school or to college or university in North America.

Suitable for students of all levels, this program also integrates workshops to enhance soft skills, communication and leadership. Student will be taught by our highly-qualified teachers at a dedicated Canadian high school campus during summer and at the VGC campus in Downtown Vancouver in Winter.

In-class lessons are supplemented with daily opportunities to practice their new skills outside the classroom through practical tasks or in-real life social situations.

VGC levels are mapped to the CEFR and their Cambridge Levels. Students who have PET or KET equivalent levels will spend the afternoons strengthening the foundations of their skills, working on fluency, vocabulary and error corrections to enhance their communicative abilities. Students who have FCE or CAE equivalency will have the opportunity to learn about intercultural communication, with a focus on developing their leadership skills in our Global Leadership program.

The VGC Difference

Diverse Student Mix

This program is especially designed for teenagers aged 13 to 17 years old. Our students come from around the world and we implement an English-only policy to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Safe and Comfortable Accommodations

For a fully immersive experience, students will stay with English-speaking host families. All our homestay families are carefully selected and provide a safe and warm home away from home. They come from diverse backgrounds that reflect Vancouver’s multicultural population. Students in our homestay program will receive three meals per day and live close to public transportation.

Students who will be travelling with family members attending VGC’s 30+ Adult Camp have the option to stay with host families or furnished apartments.

Dedicated and Experienced Staff

We have a multilingual team solely focused on running Camps at VGC. Our staff are highly-trained and ready to help with anything that comes up during the student’s time here in Vancouver. They have extensive experience working with a range of students – especially young learners – and ensure that they are in a safe and welcoming environment. We also provide a 24-hour emergency hotline for any emergency situation.
