What attracted you to enroll in the Diploma in Applied Communications program?

I was drawn to this program because it aligns with my professional background in sales and people management, and I wanted to enhance my communication skills to thrive in diverse business environments.
 

What were your expectations before you started the program?

I expected the program to offer practical knowledge in communication strategies, teamwork, and leadership to prepare me for international business challenges.

Did you find the program challenging?

Yes, the program was challenging, especially adapting to a new learning environment and applying theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios. However, these challenges helped me grow professionally.

Were your expectations met or exceeded?

My expectations were exceeded. The program not only provided excellent academic content but also opportunities to apply the knowledge in practical settings, which has been invaluable.

In what ways has the course enhanced your professional growth and development?

It has improved my ability to communicate effectively in English, enhanced my leadership skills, and provided me with tools to manage teams and handle cross-cultural business interactions more effectively.

Can you share specific skills or knowledge that you acquired during the program?

I learned how to create impactful business presentations, write professional reports, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams. I also gained insights into Canadian business culture and professional etiquette.

How would you rate the support you got from your teachers and staff?

I would rate it very highly. The teachers and staff were incredibly supportive, always available to answer questions and provide guidance, making my experience smooth and rewarding.

Are you happy with the classmates you have? Have you been able to create networks or connections through this program?

Yes, I’m very happy with my classmates. They brought diverse perspectives, which enriched our group discussions. I’ve also built meaningful connections that I believe will last beyond the program.

How would you rate the facilities and location of VGC?

The facilities are modern and well-equipped, and the central location in Vancouver makes it easily accessible. It’s a great environment for learning.
 

What made you want to study here in Vancouver?

Vancouver’s reputation as a multicultural city and a hub for international business made it an ideal location for my studies. The city also offers a great quality of life, which is very appealing.

Is there a memorable moment or activity that you’d like to share?

One memorable moment was participating in a group project where we explored cultural differences in business communication. It was insightful and highlighted the value of teamwork and collaboration.
