Could you please introduce yourself?

Hi, my name is Seoyoung. I’m a registered nurse from Korea, and I joined the English program at VGC to improve my overall English skills, especially for my future career abroad.

What attracted you to enroll in the English program at VGC?

I was looking for a program that focused on practical, real-life English rather than just grammar. VGC stood out because of its well-structured courses and supportive learning environment, which made me feel comfortable speaking English even when I wasn’t confident at first.

In what ways has the course enhanced your English skills and development?

The course helped me become more confident in speaking and listening. Through class discussions, presentations, and daily interaction, I learned how to express my thoughts more clearly and naturally in English.

Do you think this course will help you in your future career?

Yes, definitely. Since I plan to work in an international healthcare environment, strong communication skills in English are essential. This course gave me a solid foundation and much more confidence to use English professionally.

How would you rate the support you got from your teachers and staff?

The teachers and staff were extremely supportive and approachable. They were always willing to help and give constructive feedback, which made my learning experience very positive.

Are you happy with the classmates you have? Have you been able to create networks or connections through this program?

Yes, absolutely. My classmates came from many different countries, and studying together helped me build meaningful connections. It was also a great opportunity to practice English naturally while learning about different cultures.

What made you want to study here in Vancouver? Is there a memorable moment or activity that you’d like to share?

Vancouver felt like the perfect place to study because it’s safe, beautiful, and very multicultural. One of my favorite memories was exploring the city and nature with my classmates, which made my experience even more meaningful.

Would you recommend VGC to other students who want to study English in Vancouver?

Yes, I would definitely recommend VGC to anyone who wants to improve their English in a supportive and friendly environment. It was a very rewarding experience for me.
