Could you please introduce yourself?

My name is Rick. I’m from Taiwan, and I’m currently living in Vancouver for almost 2 years. I have a background in videography and film production, and I’m interested in improving my English for both daily communication and professional work. Studying English here is an important step for my personal growth and future career development.

我的名字是 Rick，我來自台灣，目前居住在溫哥華將近兩年。我有影像拍攝與電影製作的背景，希望能提升日常生活以及專業工作上的英文能力。來這裡學英文，對我個人成長與未來職涯發展都非常重要。

What attracted you to enroll in the English program at VGC?

What attracted me to VGC was its practical teaching style and strong focus on real-life communication. I’m also participating in the IEC Working Holiday Program, so I wanted an English program that could help me continuously improve my language skills and better prepare me for working and living in an English-speaking environment.

我會選擇 VGC，主要是因為它的教學方式很實用，也很重視實際生活中的英文溝通。另外我本身有參加 IEC Working Holiday Program，所以我希望能透過這樣的英文課程，持續把英文練好，讓自己在英文環境下不管是生活還是工作，都能更自在一點。

How would you rate the support you got from your teachers and staff?

I feel very supported by both the teachers and staff at VGC. The teachers are patient, encouraging, and willing to explain things clearly. The staff are also friendly and helpful whenever I have questions or need assistance.

我覺得在 VGC 得到很多老師與行政人員的支持。老師很有耐心、願意鼓勵學生，也會清楚解釋不懂的地方，行政人員也都很親切，遇到問題時都能給我最快速的幫助。

In what ways has the course enhanced your English skills and career development?

The course has helped me improve my speaking and listening skills, especially in real conversations. I feel more confident expressing my ideas in English, which is very important for my career, especially when working with international teams or clients.

這門課對我最大的幫助是口說跟聽力，尤其是在真的跟人聊天或溝通的時候。我現在比較敢用英文表達自己的想法，也比較不怕講錯，這對我之後的工作發展其實幫助很大。

Are you happy with the classmates you have? Have you been able to create networks or connections through this program?

Absolutely Yes, I’m very happy with my classmates. They come from different countries and backgrounds, which makes the class environment interesting and diverse. I’ve been able to practice English together with them and build new friendships through this program.

我對同學都非常滿意，大家來自不同國家，氣氛很輕鬆也很有趣。上課會一起練英文，下課也會聊天，慢慢就交到朋友，也建立了一些不錯的友誼。

What made you want to study here in Vancouver? Is there a memorable moment or activity that you’d like to share?

I chose Vancouver because it’s a comfortable, multicultural city with beautiful natural surroundings. One memorable experience for me was spending time with classmates, exploring the city and practicing English in daily situations. I’d also say that if you come here in winter, it’s important to prepare a waterproof jacket and waterproof shoes, because the weather can be quite rainy.

我會選擇溫哥華，是因為這裡的生活步調很舒服，也是一個很多元的城市，又有很多自然景色。對我來說比較難忘的是，跟同學一起在市區裡走走、參加活動，一邊用英文聊天，把英文真的用在生活裡。

如果是冬天來的話，真的要記得準備防水外套跟防水鞋子，因為冬天蠻常下雨的，這點真的很重要。

Would you recommend VGC to other students who want to study English in Vancouver?

Yes, I would definitely recommend VGC. It provides a supportive learning environment, practical lessons, and helpful teachers. I think it’s a great place for students who want to improve their English and feel more confident using it in real life.

我會推薦 VGC 給想學英文的學生。這裡的學習環境很友善，老師也都很願意幫忙，課程內容又偏實用，對想把英文真正用在生活裡的人來說，我覺得是一個不錯的選擇。
