Choose 5, 15 or 20 hours a week. Focus and Intensive students may move up a level after 4 weeks.

Study skills, academic writing and IELTS preparation, plus one-on-one guidance from VGC’s pathway team.

Fees valid for registrations received between Oct 1 and Dec 31, 2026, for any start date.

All fees are in Canadian dollars. Focus Online and Intensive Online students may move up a level after 4 weeks or more; Flex Online students build their skills continuously. Level progression is not guaranteed and depends on attendance, homework completion, placement results and overall commitment to studies.

University pathways
Complete LINK. Skip the IELTS. Start your degree.
Reach the University Preparation (UP) level your chosen school requires and enter accredited technical, undergraduate and graduate programs without a separate IELTS or TOEFL test.
* Capilano University requires additional EAP courses for most programs. Requirements vary by program; see vgc.ca/list-of-university-pathways.

Are the classes live?
Yes. VGC LINK classes are taught live online by VGC teachers, so you practise speaking and get feedback in real time.
Which schedule should I choose?
Flex (5 hours a week) fits around work or school. Focus (15 hours) and Intensive (20 hours) let you move up levels faster and include the University Pathway Program and IELTS Preparation.
Do I need IELTS or TOEFL for a pathway?
Not if you complete the required VGC University Preparation (UP) level for your chosen partner. Each school sets its own required level, shown in the pathway list above.
How do I find my level?
Take the online VGC Placement Test. Your result places you in the right class from your first day.
What do I pay up front?
A $110 registration fee, plus weekly tuition for your schedule and $15 per week for materials. All fees are in Canadian dollars.
