Halloween is one of the oldest holidays, and it’s celebrated in many different ways around the world. In Canada, there is lots of fun to be had all throughout the month of October! Vancouver gets super spooky this time of year, with carved pumpkins and spider web decorations popping up around town. There is plenty to do if you want to get into the holiday spirit, and VGC is going to experience it all! Here are my recommendations for the best activities on this month’s calendar:
Pumpkin Carving – October 25th
This tradition was brought over from Ireland and has become one of the most special parts of Halloween in Canada. Grab some friends, make a group of 3-4 people, and decide how you want to design and carve your very own pumpkin! This activity will include pumpkin pie, whipped cream, and Halloween music to get you in the mood.
Haunted House – October 29th
Halloween isn’t Halloween without something SCARY. This is the only time of year that people actually go around looking for something to scare them! If you like monsters, horror, blood, and guts, then join us as we head to North Vancouver to experience one of the scariest (and cheapest!) haunted houses in the city.
VGC Halloween Club Night – November 1st
When you’re a kid, this holiday is all about dressing up and collecting candy. When you’re an adult, it’s all about dressing up and partying! Come to Venue Nightclub for a costume club night with all of VGC. Your ticket includes two drinks!
VGC will also be celebrating Halloween day on October 31st with music, games, decorations and a costume contest! Stay tuned for more information, and let’s make this a month to remember.
