August 2016 – Time for our VGC Rafting & Camping Trip and Other Activities
by MATT NAPIER
It seems that our summer weather has finally arrived, and just in time for a great month of activities coming up! Here’s a look at our top 3 activities in August:
Join the next VGC trip on August 19th as teachers and students go camping on an island in the Thompson River (one of the best rivers in the province for river rafting). Spend the evening around a campfire, roasting marshmallows and singing songs with your classmates and teacher, sleep in a tent on the island, and wake up the next day to face exciting Class III and IV rapids! Don’t miss out on this great trip!
This has become one of the most popular activities here at VGC. And for a good reason! Come out and learn how to ice skate or try playing hockey on a private ice rink. No need to be an expert skater to try out Canada’s favourite past-time. You won’t find any other schools in Vancouver that do this!
There’s no better time of year than summer to ride a bike around famous Stanley Park. So come join us for a sunny ride along the seawall of Vancouver’s most beautiful attraction.
