Business Seminars are back this Summer!
VGC’s School of International Business is once again offering its popular Business Seminars this summer! Starting this July, these intensive two-week programs are open to local and international students who are looking to gain a solid understanding of business fundamentals.
These seminars focus on specific areas of professional interest. They will be taught by experienced industry professionals using a blend of theoretical and hands-on learning. And with in-person classes, you will interact, network and share ideas with your classmates face-to-face!

The courses are tailor-made for individuals who want to get a headstart in a business-oriented career or for working professionals looking to enhance their specialized knowledge:

Dates: July 4 – 15, 2022
Develop an understanding of strong leadership and pick up the skills required to become a better leader. Study various styles of leadership using real world cases of both successful and ineffective leaders. Plus, grasp the importance of having vision and what it takes to be an effective boss.

Dates: July 18 – 29, 2022
Discover the basics of entrepreneurship. Find out what it takes to create and sustain a successful business. Understand the importance of industry analysis, writing a business plan and financing a new venture.

Dates: August 2 – 12, 2022
Get a foundational understanding of the different social media platforms, as well as the ability to identify and target specific audiences. Recognize the importance of social media in the broader marketing strategy. Plus, learn how to create a social media strategy.

Increase your marketability!
Each program lasts 2 weeks for a total of 37 hours. This includes lectures, discussions, case studies, readings and group work with a presentation. Upon successful completion of a two-week program, students will be equipped with new skills and also receive certificate they can use to enhance their resume.
The Business Seminars are open to current VGC students starting at Level 5 and up. For new registrations, students will be required to take an online placement test and an interview with the Admissions Team. Please contact marketing@vgc.ca to know more about VGC’s Business Seminars.
